The students of the classes 9 and 11 were examined through the examination conducted by the Jharkhand Govt at the end of the session and the successful candidates promoted to the next classes, but this year due to Covid-19 epidemic, examinations have not taken place this year. Therefore, the Govt has decided to promote these students without examination.
Due to pandemic Covid-19, all the schools are closed except for a limited period, due to which almost physical operation of the above classes has not taken place.
In view of the above situation, the examination cannot be conducted by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) for the progress of students enrolled in classes 9 and 11 in 2020-21. In such a situation, there is confusion about the promotion of the students of the said classes.
In middle schools, students of classes one to eight have been promoted to the next classes including class 9 in case the school is closed for the entire session.
In the current academic session 2021-22, which has started from April 1, 2021 and after almost two months have gone by if the students are not promoted in Class 10th and 12th then will be not get enough time to complete syllabus.
In view of the severity of the Covid-19 pandemic and ‘Health Safety Week’ (from June 3, 2021) has been put into effect by the state government and there is no possibility of opening of schools for the next few months due. There will not be enough time to complete the syllabus of class 10 and class 12 students. The state Govt has decided to promote students.
In such a situation, the state government decided to promote the students enrolled in classes 9 and 11 in the academic session 2020-21 to the next class i.e., class 9 students in class 10 and class 11 students in class 12 for the academic session 2021 22. This will be effective only for the current session.
A order in this regard has been forwarded to all concerned principals and head of school and directed to promote studens and provide all necessary help required by the students.
