In the keynote address, Director, Centre for Digital Enterprise Analytics and Leadership (DEAL), Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University, Canada, Dr. Ravi Vatrapu, spoke about the best practices in the doctoral journey and takeaways from a career in academic research.
There were 207 research papers submitted to the MDC from different areas such as finance, marketing, human resource management, strategic management, operations, and supply chain management. Only 50 papers were selected for the presentation in MDC through blind peer review done by various area faculty members of IIM V. These papers are authored by PhD students and academicians from top institutes, including many IIMs, IITs, and other premier institutes across India.
The colloquium also had sessions on qualitative research by Prof Mukta Kulkarni (IIM Bangalore), doctoral journey by Prof Vishal Gupta (IIM Ahmedabad), case research by Prof Sanal Kumar Velayudhan (Ex Dean, IIM Kozhikode).
Speaking at the valedictory, Director, IIM-Vizag, Prof M Chandrashekhar, reinforced the need for building strong research culture through such colloquium and conferences. He announced the three best research papers awarded in the colloquium. Velavan S (IIM Bangalore), Nishi Malhotra (IIM Kozhikode), and Satender Pal Singh (IIM Ranchi) received the winner, runner-up and second runner-up award, respectively.
