Speaking to the media, Venkatramireddy said that chief minister directed the officials to immediately issue appointment letters to all the 2008-DSC waitlist candidates. “CM had done justice to the nearly 12-year long struggle of the DSC teachers,” said Venkatarami Reddy. He said that the chief minister had also promised to declare probation to all the staffers of village and ward secretariats as they were completing two years of service by October. He said that all the secretaries of ward and village secretariats, who cleared the mandatory departmental tests would be granted probation along with regular scale of pay. He said that CM had also agreed to issue fresh recruitment notifications without disturbing the existing staffers working on contract and outsourcing basis in different departments. DSC teachers union leaders Velugu Jyothi, Satyanarayana, ward/village secretariat employees association leaders Anjan Reddy and Ankama Rao were also present.
AMARAVATI: A long pending issue of District Selection Committee (DSC-2008) recruitee teachers was resolved when the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to appoint them on contract basis. The teachers will be employed in the school education department with minimum time-scale. About 2193 teachers failed to get appointments during 2008 selections due to the failure of administrations in maintaining the common merit list. They have been agitating for appointment as regular teachers for over a decade. Secretariat employees’ association president K Venkatarami Reddy took a delegation of 2008-DSC candidates to the chief minister on Wednesday and explained the plight of the candidates. Chief minister immediately agreed to appoint the waitlisted candidates on contract basis with minimum pay-scale.
